Match Three games have become very popular in the past couple of years. Due to their popularity fake games seem to be on the rise also. As I stated in my first blog post, I will be talking about the online money-making games that I personally have downloaded and played. All of my games are downloaded from the Apple Store and played on an iPhone 15. Did I make any money or go around and around in circles trying to fulfill too many requirements set by the developers? Is it possible to walk away with cash sent to my PayPal Account or is the game a Fake?

GAME ONE

Bucket Counting Game  


         This is a Bucket Counting Game. The main function is:

1.    The total quantity of the two buckets below, choose from the following options

2.    Place the water bucket in the green area according to the required quantity indicated on the sign

This game has a 4.7 rating out of 3K ratings. Strangely, as you read through the ratings, they are not very 5-star reviews. So, if people are not happy with the game why do they give it a 5-star rating? My thoughts are that with a 5 star review you have more chances of being noticed and having someone read your post. Does this work, I do not know. I try to read both the 5- and 1-star reviews to see what each end has to say.  I do wonder why no reviews talked about the fact that the actual game is not what it is supposed to be. If you wanted to play a counting game you would be in for a big surprise. Also, it is rated as 4+ which is the first clue that it is not rated to pay out money.

So, we would think that upon downloading this game we would be looking at buckets that we must count. Surprise, this is a typical Match 3 game. The game leads us to believe that if we pass level one, we can withdraw $20.00 to PayPal. I finished Level one and tried to withdraw my $20.00 but need to win through level 4 in order to withdraw. I easily passed levels 2 and 3. I am now working at level 4 and after 5 tries I have been unsuccessful in winning. Not only am I unable to make matches or clear the board but every time I match stacks of dollars, I am required to watch a video. It does not matter whether I ask to double my earnings or not, I am stuck with a video. I have noticed that if you choose to claim only then the videos are shorter than if you choose to double your earnings.

The following recording will show you how I do as I play through level 4. As you can see, I am unable to finish the level and thus unable to withdraw my earnings. It takes about 6 minutes with the ads to play through level 4. I did use a free video to reset the board and take three pieces off the line. I do not have enough diamonds to help any other way and will not spend money on these games. There is a ticker at the top of the screen showing players who passed the level and successfully withdrew their earnings. When we read the messages ticking across then we see that most people had to play the level between 19-29 times before winning. So, it seems I have another twenty times to go before, hopefully I will be able to withdraw my winnings. Hmm, who really thinks I will be able to withdraw my winnings? Nah, me neither! I of course did not make it another 20 times. I became tired from the constant ads and decided to quit playing the game. So, in my opinion, the Bucket Counting Game is a fake.

This game does play as stated in the preview so there are no surprises except it is a money winning game. When you go to withdraw you find that you must beat level five and the game has a Game Policy Statement below the withdraw window. This statement gave me the feeling that it was a legit real money making game.

The rating for this game is 4.2 out of 5 from 163 rankings. As I read through the reviews I saw that many are the same. A number of the 5-star reviews say they have not played enough to give a truthful review and need more time. The 1-star reviews comment that the ads say you do not need to watch ads but you definitely do. The one good thing that I see in the reviews is that the developer responds back with comments. Match 3 games day 2 When playing online money-making games we need to remember that we will always have to watch ads. This is how the developers make their money and without ads, no money can be distributed through the games. We should remember that not all online money-making games are legitimate and give cash out as the games are advertised. So, I would pass on the advice that we need to be careful when downloading money-making games.  Many of the match-3 games I have played this year not only made me watch video ads but also charge for power-ups. I stay away from these sorts of games because I need to make money not spend it.
